Whether you’re searching for a V-Day gift for your girlfriends, planning a themed party or just want to accessorize for the holiday, Etsy.com has compiled a page of creative Valentine’s Day-inspired items to choose from. From heart-shaped earrings to vintage inspired scarves, this tile-layout page of products is interactive and fun to browse. You can just click on an item to “pull” it out from the group and learn the details of the product. Another plus: although several items shown are pricey, many are geared toward the budget-minded shopper. I’ve pulled some of my favorites, all for under $50! Either way, you’ll have fun browsing and maybe become inspired for some projects of your own! (I love the simple button sewn on to the scarf to give it personality – try it on one you already own!)
Etsy Valentines Picks (Clockwise from Upper Left):
Key to My Heart by Counting Stitches for $22
Sweet Little Love Birds by Dana Castle for $11.75

It’s all about sequins ladies! I can’t get enough of anything sparkly… These shimmering and shiny lovelies have been an evening staple for so many women over the years, and now they have made a major comeback. This year’s jackets are much more fitted and are great for dressing up casual-wear for the evening. I like to pair mine with a white tank, a pair of dark skinny jeans and some killer heels. (It’s really a simple look to pull off.) Try it out, and you’ll find yourself looking quite chic!
Here are some great options that won’t break the bank:
1. Spangled Shrug from Forever 21 for $22.80
2. Stretch Tank in White from Old Navy for $10.00
3. Iconic Skinny Jean by Levis at Macys for $39.99
4. Lela Rose Satin Peep Toe at Payless for $29.99
5. Black Sequin Jacket from Windsor for $59.90

Next to the classy and traditional black and white Chanel runway collection, the jade green manicures of the models attracted a surprising amount of attention. For the Fall 2009 Runway Show, every model that strutted down the catwalk donned the wonderfully playful shade on their nails. The collection also featured splashes of the same color in the model’s accessories.
The polish immediately became scarce and hard to find, but thanks to other brands that have put their own spin on the color – finding jade nail polish is now simple! I think Essie really hit a home run with their Mint Candy Apple color and it is available for only $8 (instead of Chanel’s $25 bottle). Don’t be afraid of wearing this pale color in to winter. I say pair it with a Chanel inspired jacket, bag and pin… j’adore!
Black and White Tweed Jacket – From Forever 21 $29.80
Black Quilted Handbag – From Mark (Avon) $30
Large Flower Clip/Pin – From Anthropologie $18

After seeing the commercial for CoverGirl’s new lip stain, I was anxious to go out and try it. (Who can resist Drew Barrymore?) I usually don’t like to use lipstick because it can be cakey and heavy. Then again, glosses can be tricky too. They can be too sticky, too slick, and quite temporary – to say the least (when’s the last time your gloss lasted longer than ten minutes?) CoverGirl‘s ad claims the stain will last for hours without reapplication…and that it won’t smudge at all. With such lofty claims and an adorable commercial, I just couldn’t resist!
I picked up the lip stain in Everbloom Kiss (#400), which is a light petal-pink. It went on precisely, and did a great job of filling in the corners of my lips. The product was lightweight and looked fresh, but did seem to dry my lips a little. I solved this problem by using a layer of clear gloss over it! The one claim it really didn’t deliver on was that it just couldn’t stand up to the test of time. (In its defense, it did get …
