I just thought I’d share a couple of thank you card designs I’ve made. You can click the link under the image to download the .pdf. Print them out and then trim the edges. Mable’s Flower should be 5 by 7 and the Macaroon is a foldable card. If you have any questions of need help, just let me know. Enjoy!

This week I started The Art of Action e-course. It’s been wonderful to see things in a different way, and to start moving toward my goals…if even just a little bit. One thing I’ve realized is I have to be much more organized them I already am. I’ve made my first mini to-do list today. 3 things I could do today to move toward my goals.
1. Write a blog post. (Check! Yea!)
2. Complete 2 files worth of work on my ongoing project.
3. Work on finding a third person for my thesis committee.
(I emailed an old professor today for leads and ideas!)
It’s great to know I’m moving forward, and as Tara from the course says, “Getting un-stuck!” One of my most creative ideas for making more time in the day was choosing to take a shower in the morning, instead of a bath. I know that sounds so funny, but I am a total bath person. I can linger in the bath, reading a magazine …

1 – You can make adorable felt hearts to pin on to your bag, shirt or any other place you think it’d be cute to tack one of these little guys. I love a good simple craft, that doesn’t take much time, but that provides instantly sweet results. You can find How To instructions on Purl Bee. I found this wonderful DIY by way of Going Home to Roost, one of my favorite blogs!
2 – Or, you could make cake pops for your sweet heart. Who doesn’t love cake on a stick? Nothing to complain about there… These adorable guys are from Amy Atlas Events, and her site is full of wonderful party inspiration and “Eye Candy.” If you’d like to know how to make cake pops, which seem crazy hard to make, but are actually quite easy…you can go to Bakerella.com for all things “Cake Pop.”

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted, but with Christmas around the corner it got me in the mood to share some ideas. Last Christmas the one thing I absolutely fell in love with was an advent calendar from Pottery Barn (pictured above as the “inspiration”). It cost over $200, so I could never bring myself to buy it. This year I must admit I even checked Ebay to see if I could find one, but they are just as expensive now as they were then. So, in the back of my mind I kept trying to figure out how to make an advent calendar I like. Then it hit me to just draw my own on a chalkboard. I was lucky enough that we already have this one hanging in our kitchen, so I just drew one out freehand with different colors of chalk. You can usually find a cute vintage chalkboard on Etsy, or at a local flea market.
I love the idea of crossing off the days as we count down to Christmas. It’s one of my favorite holidays, and an advent calendar …
