I always swoon over adorable planners and day calendars, which often sell for quite a bit in stores.  So I always end up with the handy-dandy calendar on my computer or Post-It Notes stuck on things instead.  Today I decided to say goodbye to all of that … So I designed a fun printable weekly calendar and decided to share it with all of you. I absolutely adore getting my new Martha Stewart magazine in the mail.  I drool over all of the wonderfully styled photos and the neat little projects.  The February edition featured these wonderful shadowboxes by Darcy Miller.  Her “day job” is with Martha Stewart Living as the Senior Vice President and the Wedding Editorial Director.  Talk about a busy lady!  Who would have thought she has the time to make such adorable and charming little “Scrapboxes?”  Check out her work at Martha Stewart.com or pick up this month’s magazine.

I figure this is the perfect project for frugal girls everywhere.  I suggest heading to Hobby Lobby, and purchasing some small shadowboxes.  If you wait until the frames go on sale 50% off you can get them for a real steal!  (Check their website for weekly specials).  I like the idea of layering some beautifully patterned paper (usually about $1 or two for a sheet).   Make sure to choose a few colors that match your items and home decor.  Then layer in some of your favorite photos and items. …
